Dr. Barry Farkas, O.D. F.A.A.O.

Dr. Barry Farkas received his Doctorate of Optometry from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in 1971, where he is currently a trustee. With his partners, he maintains one of the largest contact lens specialty practices in the United States. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and a Diplomate of its Cornea and Contact Lens Section. He is also a member of the American Optometric Association and the American Optometric Foundation. Dr. Farkas has authored numerous articles in professional journals and has delivered over one hundred invited lectures both nationally and internationally.

Dr. Jordan Kassalow is a partner at Farkas, Kassalow and Resnick and joined the practice in 1988. Since this time, he has been a consultant for many major contact lens companies including Ciba Vision, Cooper Vision and Vistakon (Johnson & Johnson).

Dr. Kassalow is the Chairman of VisionSpring (formerly Scojo Foundation), providing leadership and expertise to its global operations. He is a co-founder of both Scojo Foundation and Scojo New York, and is also the founder of the Global Health Policy Program at the Council on Foreign Relations, where he served as an Adjunct Senior Fellow from 1999-2004. Prior to his position at the Council, he served as Director of the Onchocerciasis Division at Helen Keller International. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for Lighthouse International and on the Medical Advisory Board of Helen Keller International. The recipient of numerous awards, including the Social Innovator of the Year award from BYU's Marriott School of Management, The Aspen Institute's Henry Crown Fellowship, and a Draper Richards Foundation Fellowship, Dr. Kassalow received his Doctorate of Optometry from the New England College of Optometry and his Masters in Public Health and Fellowship in Preventive Ophthalmology from Johns Hopkins University.

Dr. Susan Resnick, O.D. F.A.A.O.

Dr. Susan Resnick received her Doctorate of Optometry from the New York State College of Optometry in 1983. A Diplomate in the Cornea and Contact Lens Section of the American Academy of Optometry, Dr. Resnick authors, lectures and consults in the areas of specialty contact lenses and emerging vision and eyecare technologies. She serves as an advisor to industry and as a clinical investigator in the contact lens and pharmaceutical fields. In addition to her contact lens specialty, Dr. Resnick maintains a strong interest and participation in primary optometric care including binocular vision assessment and pediatric examinations. She is a member of the American Academy of Optometry and the Nassau County Optometric Society.

Dr. Regina Zyszkowski, O.D.

Dr. Regina Zyszkowski received her Doctorate of Optometry from the New York State College of Optometry in 1991. She is a member of the American Optometric Association, the New York State Optometric Association, and an active participant in the Nassau County Optometric Society. She is highly skilled in contact lens fitting and in primary care optometry, with an emphasis on ocular disease management. Dr. Regina has been a proponent of refractive surgery since 1998 and has extensive experience in laser pre-operative consultations and post-operative care.

Dr. Kevin Rosin, O.D.

Dr. Kevin Rosin received a bachelor's degree in Optometry from the Rand Academic University in South Africa in 1995. Following graduation, Dr. Rosin went into private practice. He also held a supervisory role at Rand Academic Optometry School, maintaining his academic interests. In private practice Dr. Rosin specialized in contact lens fittings, pediatric optometry, low vision, and primary care optometry. Following his six years of private practice, Dr. Rosin ventured to the United States to obtain his Doctor of Optometry degree from New England College of Optometry. By keeping at the forefront of his field, Dr. Rosin has received numerous international certifications for further advancing his optometric skills and knowledge.

Dr. Cary Hirschfield, F.N.A.O.

Cary Hirschfield received his associate degree in Ophthalmic Dispensing from New York City College of Technology in 1989. He is a Fellow of the National Academy of Opticianry, and also a member of the American Board of Opticianry and the National Contact Lens Examiners. He specializes in custom made contact lenses including fitting for TV commercials, movies, and theater. He also has extensive knowledge and experience in Prosthetic lenses, Color Vision Corrective lenses, and Corneal Refractive Therapy (CRT) lenses. He has worked with numerous patients requiring specialized spectacle lenses including prisms, multifocals, and for color deficiency.
